Participating Mentors:

Students will be preparing projects to be competitive in our District and State competition. They will be taking the information and writing up a professional plan. In addition, they will be preparing a PowerPoint presentation to present to the judges. Any feedback to help students understand the process is beneficial.

Description:

The Financial Literacy Promotion Project is a chapter project that develops the economic and marketing knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in a global economy. After learning the economic principles associated with financial literacy, chapter members will utilize their marketing knowledge and skills to communicate the benefits of financial literacy to others.

Benchmarks:

The Financial Literacy Promotion Project is a chapter project that develops the economic and marketing knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in a global economy. After learning the economic principles associated with financial literacy, chapter members will utilize their marketing knowledge and skills to communicate the benefits of financial literacy to others. The project may begin at any time after the close of the previous chartered association conference and run to the beginning of the next chartered association conference. The Financial Literacy Promotion Project provides an opportunity for chapter members to n demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of financial literacy n engage in activity(ies) that clarify and enhance understanding of financial literacy n plan and implement a presentation or activity(ies) to educate and promote financial literacy to organized groups and/or

Student Outcomes:

Students will meet set deadlines, outcome dependent upon the response and interdependent of the mentor. The student will submit rough drafts, mentor will review and provide suggestions, student will revise the copy and improve the quality of the work.

Evaluation of
Student Outcomes:

Each section will be submitted by the due date and students will be evaluated on each section.

Teacher Role:

Teacher will teach each section and show examples, and grade each section upon completion.

Mentor Role:

Give students effective feedback, looking at content, sentence structure, grammar, etc.
