1 II.INTRODUCTION A. Description of the local DECA chapter B. Description of the school and community II. Introduction, Students will conduct research on the description of their Holt DECA chapter and the description of the school and community. Mentor Role: Students will write this section of their project, submit the information to the mentor and the mentor will edit and make corrections using a different color of text. The student will review the information submitted by the mentor and make changes accordingly before submitting the copy to the teacher for grading.
2 III. MANAGEMENT OF ACTIVITY(IES) TARGETED AT OUTSIDE AUDIENCE A. Purpose of the activity(ies) B. Planning and organization of activity(ies) C. Implementation of activity(ies) IV. EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS Students will come up with an actual activity toward a targeted audience (Elementary School children) they will plan, organize and implement activities. Document these activities and in turn, write about them. Mentor Role:give the students suggestions on some activities that could be taught to elementary children

3 IV. EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS A. Evaluation of campaign B. Recommendations for additional new activity(ies) for future campaigns Students will write in paragraph form, how they feel the campaign went, and give recommendations for additional new activities for future campaigns.
5 I. Executive Summary
One page description of the project
Students will outline their project in a one page report for the executive summary. This is a very important part of the project; in some cases, this is the only part that the judge will be able to read.

Mentor Role; this is an important section of the creative marketing project. When in competition, if the judge only has minimal time, they can read through this section and understand the whole project.
6 Oral Presentation Students are expected to present their information in an oral presentation/ PowerPoint presentation. The students will compete at a District Level in February and the top two winners from each category will move on to the State level.

Mentor role: any feedback that will help the student succeed in the presentation will be appreciated. Make sure slides are professional, not cluttered, that the presentation enhances the project.
