II. Introduction, will include researching the information listed and typing it in a written report using the outline format. Students will conduct secondary research as will as primary research to gather the needed data. Students are encouraged to use surveys, focus groups, interviews for the primary data collection. Most secondary data will be collected using the Internet provided in class. Teacher Role: teacher will assist in the statement of the problem to make sure it is valid for this type of project Mentor Role: Students will write this section of their project, submit the researched information to the mentor and the mentor will edit and make corrections using a different color of text. The student will review the information submitted by the mentor and make changes accordingly before submitting the copy to the teacher for grading. |

In this section the students will have prepared a survey, interview questions, focus group, etc. of their choice and decided on which primary and secondary data collection would be more useful. Mentor Role: help the student brainstorm questions that could be asked in order to find the information needed. Edit submitted work from student. |

Students will write in paragraph form, what they gathered with the data collection and how the club or organizaion presently stands. They will create charts and graphs displaying their information. Mentor role: look at the data collection, make sure charts and graphs are valid and depict the information needed in creating the project to meet the objective. |

Students will make recommendations according to the outcome of their study. Students will prepare a presentation to implement changes to the appropriate audience. Student will create necessary materials in order to effectively present their findings. Mentor Role: validate recommendation from the study, make sure that the information that is suggested is accurate and on track. |
5 | I. Executive Summary One page description of the project |
Students will outline their project in a one page report for the executive summary. This is a very important part of the project; in some cases, this is the only part that the judge will be able to read. Mentor Role; this is an important section of the creative marketing project. When in competition, if the judge only has minimal time, they can read through this section and understand the whole project. |
6 | Oral Presentation | Students are expected to present their information in an oral presentation/ PowerPoint presentation. The students will compete at a District Level in February and the top two winners from each category will move on to the State level. Mentor role: any feedback that will help the student succeed in the presentation will be appreciated. Make sure slides are professional, not cluttered, that the presentation enhances the project. |
