2 Research in finding credible Book Reviews during chosen histrorical period preference

STUDENTS: Access websites containg book reviews related to the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and select 3-4 relevant scholarly articles.

MENTORS: Assist student with reviewing student-selected articles and provide other relevant scholarly articles or resources related to book reviews of Huckleberry Finn book.
1. 3-4 selections of credible, appropriate scholarly artcles

3 Summarizing Findings

STUDENTS: Highlight and annotate articles using "Review" feture in MS WORD. Use summarizing strategy to summarize each article including:

* when it was written
* who wrote the review
* the reviewer's opinion
* insightful quotations
* effect of the re4view in a historical context

MENTORS: Review student's annotations and summaries. Check to see if student meet requirements (listed above) and provide positive constructive feedback on what went will with their summarizing and what could be improved. Also assist in providing addtional annotations to the article and explain why you annoated them.

4 Design Poster Layout

STUDENTS: synthesize researched information in order to create a potential poster layout in MS WORD.


MENTORS: Provide feedback on poster layout and content. Suggest 4-5 appropriate images or content to support the poster's research topic.

5 Poster Presentation Feedback & Timeline

STUDENTS: prepare and share notes about their presenation and other students' prenseations. Develop a rough draft of a timeline of the controversy using information from presentations

MENTORS: Provide positive support regarding students' presentations and review timeline and make suggestions
