Step Description Expected Student Results
1 Students write an introduction. Students discuss possible current issues using non-violent civil disobedience.

Mentors respond with an introduction message. Mention some events that use non-violent civil disobedience.
Introduction message

Students will learn the difference between issues that are solvable using civil disobedience and those that other methods would work better.
2 Students choose one issue and discuss what possible non-violent civil disobedience tactics would be useful. Students will be working on their rough draft.

Mentors will find out from students where they are in their rough draft and discuss one issue that could possible be solved by non-violent civil disobedience to be used for their essay.
Upload evidence of a working rough draft.

Students will compare and contrast the effectiveness of various non-violent civil disobedience tactics.
3 Students will send rough draft of their essays on civil disobedience.

Mentors please review rough draft based on the rubric provided.
Students will get feedback on their uploaded rough draft.
4 Students will complete paper and upload final draft to their mentor.

Mentors are encouraged to grade the paper using the rubric provided. Submit grade before May 7, 2010.
Upload their final draft and write thank you message.
