Improved writing skills and analysis skills of charts and graphs. These will help tremendously as students continue to take standardized test and the ACT exam.

I have a better understanding of the importance of doing well in math.
Students needed to first develop a goal for their project and implement steps to attain the goal. The telementors helped to redirect some of those goals and steps so the students were successful.

I think the best way to initiate more involvement would be to work with the middle schools and their PLTW programs.

Describe a few things you and your students and mentors were able to accomplish through this program that would have been difficult or impossible any other way.
The mentors provided an education on the depth of content. They were able to assess how well each of their own students could interpretate information and then would take the content into a greater depth/detail if the student was able to understand at that level.

I believe that it could be beneficial for the mentors to be able to see the feedback other mentors were providing. I am not sure on how to make that work.

We already implement technology this did not ultimately change anything we already do.

When you applied to be a teacher contact you were asked to meet the following requirements.
- All student/mentor commmunication is project based
- Participating students receive a subject grade and turn in work at least biweekly
- Teachers should communicate at least biweekly with the mentors
- Students should be self-selected for participation.
- Teachers should expect a high degree of accountability from their students.
- Teachers should respond to specific program problems within 48 hours
