Please describe the best part of working on this project with your mentor.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor, was having someone to tell my ideas and dreams, and have them help me make those ideas and dreams come true.
The best part about working with my mentor (Ried Kirby) on my project was discovering a new way of learning. Ideas came to me when I saw how he perceived my work in different ways and by hearing his personal outlook on things.
The best part of working with my mentor on this project was definitely collaborating and bouncing off ideas from my mentor. My mentor really did a good job in getting me engaged and always helping me.
The best part of doing this project was getting to know my mentor and sharing the excitement of getting responses from professionals

Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
I'd like to have someone that can also support me in my music and to help me come up with strategies to keep good grades in school.
I would like help when trying to articulate things for better understanding and help when I am having a bit of a writers block. For example, when I know what to say but I don't know how to say it.
I think I'd like to receive help from a mentor in school time management. Like just a mentor to help me manage my time and see if I need help on anything.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
I would tell her to continue to be understanding and to meet more diversity of kids, such as myself because when she met me, she knew not a lot about autism, and I think it was great for her to meet someone different and I would tell her to continue to do so, because mentors like her deserve something special.
I would tell my mentor to make sure they are communicating frequently and have an open mind to trying new things.
Be a little bit more stern because I slacked off a little bit and she seemed like she didn't even really notice. Also maybe try to build a better connection because its kind of weird asking for help from someone you don't know.
I would say to just be exactly the way you've been and keep being supportive

Would you be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future?
2 - No
2 - Yes

Please describe why or why not.
Yes, because it encouraged me to face on challenges that I struggled with and to push harder for my personal and academic goals.
As nice as it was as having an upper hand to help in my work I wouldn't want it again so I wouldn't have to rely on someone else for help.
I think no because although it was fun and very educational, I'm only a freshman so I don't really know what I can do with this information. Plus I'm more of an independent person so it was a little difficult.
It was cool to connect with other people

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
It was difficult to get the motivation and time to communicate with my mentor and I felt stressed and pressured at times when I wasn't able to reply to my mentor as soon as I wanted to, But I learned a lot and became harder working because of these struggles.
This semester has been quite difficult for me. I was very unorganized and unbalanced which made me forget major assignments (mostly in this specific class) but I have learned from my struggles and will grow from this experience.
The most difficult part was telling my mentor I was confused because I felt a little bit ashamed to admit it.
The most difficult part was probably keeping in touch, sometimes I would hear from her for a long time but other than that it was great

Did we miss something? If so, please share any additional comments you might have about your experience in the program.
