Please describe the best part of working on this project with your mentor.
The best part was having someone to help with research. It was also great to just have someone who was there to help when it was necessary.
The best part of working with my mentor was how excited she was to help me, and that she wanted to take the time and research what I was doing.
The best part of working with my mentor was how fast she replied to my emails.
Receiving feedback on my work from my mentor
She helped me with my work and gave me good ideas and insight.
The best part was being able to share my work with someone other than my teacher. It was nice to receive legitimate feedback on my work in order to make it better.
I did receive decent amount of knowledge and help when my mentor responded. But if my mentor responded more I feel that I would have been able to achieve more academically.
The best part of working on the project with my mentor would have to be getting feedback on my work from not just my classmates but someone who has more of a better understanding of things.
The best part would be all the different sources that were provided to me from my mentor, and the relationship that was built.
My mentor was incredibly helpful, and always had information to give me.
My mentor provided me with a lot of useful advice and resources.
The best part of having a mentor to work with is the feedback and his input he would give me. He had knowledge on most of the topics we would talk about, and if he didn't he would do the research to help me and also send helpful links.
My mentor helping me with all my projects and work I needed help on.
The best part of working with a mentor was getting feedback that I could incorporate within any of my projects at hand.
I got a lot of advice and she was really good with resources for websites making it easy for me to do research.
The best part of working with my mentor is being able to receive feedback on projects.

Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
None I do pretty well on my own. I would probably like a mentor in other areas of life but having a mentor in this class was great.
I think that this is completely fine. This area doesnt need any help, but having the help makes it alot easier to accomplish. Although sending two emails a week is taking up a majority of our time from class.
Next year I'd like help in biomedical innovation. Other academic areas I feel as though I don't need a mentor.
none

I would like to have a mentor for Language Arts. I think that a mentor would be really helpful in the subject because they can look over essays.
I would like some more help in college research considering it is complicated and I want someone to assist me in making the right decisions for my future.
At the moment I do not know where I would like to receive from a mentor.
I would like to receive help in all of my classes from a mentor, as I would get different opinions and thoughts on all my work.
HOSA and other classes
I'd also like to receive help in English, more specifically with revisions on my essays.
Other academic area that would be great to receive help from a mentor would be next year in BI or it would also be cool to have a mentor for an English class.

None really
Just how to prepare for college
I would have like my mentor to look at my journal so that they would have known exactly what we were actually working on.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
Keep on doing what you´re doing.
Well I hope that they keep doing what they are doing. Bev is amazing. She is helpful and supportive of a students decisions.
I would tell my mentor to research a topic if she doesn't fully understand to help both her and her new student.
none
Keep doing what she did with me. The links and information she gave me were very helpful.
I thought my mentor did a great job. Response time is always important, sometimes we need responses within the same day. So, I would just say that she needs to check the emails more often. That does go both ways though. I had many moments where I was not able to email her back.
To please respond at least once or twice a week and answer any and all questions the student addressed.
I do not have much advice to give my mentor besides maybe to check her email a little more to be able to get back to the student faster.
Maybe check the email more regularly, and give more thorough feedback on projects.
He did a really great job!!
Well, I'd probably advise my mentor to respond a little bit quicker or at least let the mentee know if they're on vacation. I mean my mentor did fine with this, but there were some times where she didn't respond in time, but it was rare.
Advice I would give to a mentor when they begin to work with a new student is consistency. My mentor and I had that, and it was helpful, compared to other students in my class who didn't have that and would get frustrated.
No advice was a great mentor
My advice would to just reply within the time frame an email is sent out. This program moves so fast that the email topic changes within a couple of emails. Advice given within the same topic rather than the next one being taught would be more useful.
my mentor was pretty good but sometimes took a lot of time to get back to me
There were days in which I did not receive a response from my mentor so would advice her to tell her mentee if and when she will be gone.

Please describe why or why not.
I don´t do a good job at messaging my mentor on time or on their hours.
They can provide helpful information from the outside world that they work in. If i want to be a forensic scientist, and i can talk to a forensic scientist about the topic i will learn a lot more form them.
To help with my next class, biomedical innovation's major project that's worked on throughout the year.
Getting an opinion from a medical professional is very nice when working on things
I found the mentors information helpful, but they were things I could have easily found. It seemed tedious, repetitive and pointless.
Because they are really helpful!
I would if the mentor would put in the same about of effort that I would into it. I am committed to communicating with someone if they are willing to put in the same amount of hard work as I will.
I would have to say no because I found it to be more of a hassle to try to keep up with sending work or information back and forth.
It would be nice to have a professionals insight on all of my work.
because this was a good experience
Well, I believe that every step of the way people need support and advice, therefore I think that being helped by a professional mentor can benefit me and the possibilities that may open up to me.
Yes I would, having a mentor this year was a lot of help, it was neat having another professional in the medical field help me.
yes, if I have any questions on any projects or homework.
I had a hard time actually receiving information and feedback and support from my mentor. I had at least 4 mentor changes throughout the course and it made it very difficult to move on.
Im pretty independent and even though some things were helpful i felt like it was a lot of time for something you got little help on
I enjoyed receiving feedback from someone who has had much more experience than I have.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
The timing wasn´t always there.
The amount of communication required did not only lower my grade, but it reduced the amount of class time that i was able to work.
My mentor most times was unable to help me due to not being in the health career field.
It is hard to communicate frequently with little time to talk to them
Remembering to email them twice a week.
Being able to develop a "teacher-student" type relationship with the mentor through a computer screen.
Relying on her to actually respond to me with worthy information. It would take up to three weeks to get a response and by the time I got a response the time had already passed and I had already moved on to the next topic.
The most difficult part on working on this project with my mentor was being able to respond to them on time or just in general. I found myself always forgetting to send her my work or what we were doing in class.
The hardest part would be time management and both of us having busy schedules.
the most difficult part is getting to know my mentor over the year and not being able to talk to them again.
There were no real difficulties in working with my mentor. I mean the only thing, was that sometimes I would have to wait a little longer than three days for a response, but I get it mentors are busy and they have a life too so it wasn't really a big thing.
I think the most difficult part of working with our mentors is each other's schedule. There were times when we were busier than one another and couldn't respond right away. Mentors can get caught up with work, just like students can get caught up with school. Although there is no way of getting around that, I think if both, the mentor and the student, put in their part, this program works great.
Nothing difficult.
The lack of communication
Our sceduals were different so it was hard to get back to each other when needed
It was extremely frustrated when I would begin writing my response, would come back to finish and everything would be gone. It was difficult to use site that did not perform highly.

Did we miss something? If so, please share any additional comments you might have about your experience in the program.
Nope. I love this program, although the amount of emails should be reduced to one.
