Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
I'd like to receive help in how to use time management skills.
I'd like to receive help in perhaps math or chemistry from mentors just because they are very challenging.
As academic areas, I would like to receive more help on what I should be looking forward to in college, what is needed to be at that college, and how to apply for scholarships and college.
I would like to receive help in the area of preparing for exams.
I think it would be cool to get help from a mentor in Geometry. I need help refreshing my memory sometimes.

I would like to add on to my knowledge but I have learned a good amount.
Any other academic areas where I'd like to receive help from is from math. I would like to receive help in this area, so that I can get a better understanding on what mistakes I make in that class.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
You did a great job and I'm happy to have met you.
I really don't have any advice I feel as if my mentor did her absolute best.
As a mentor, students want help frequently on what they want to succeed in, in the future. I personally like to have someone who was in the shoes I would like to be in. I would enjoy some help on how to reach out to those who were what I wanted. We did do some of that, but we didn't get that successful with it.
Make sure you keep giving good feedback.
I really don't have any advice. I would just tell him to do exactly what he did for me and make sure to remind the student that they have someone who supports them whenever they need it.
N/A. My mentor was great and answered all of my messages quickly and with a lot of information.
My advice would to keep doing what she was doing. She did an amazing job and really helped me with pushing myself to do more work than expected and to fully understand the medical field and its pros/ cons.
To keep being understanding.
Email the student daily. Give them an idea of what they should be researching or focusing on when sending emails. Guide them towards completing their own research while also giving them some information. Give them tips for success regarding any area. Provide them with new ways to think about things. Help them explain how different processes work.
I would say to ask them more questions and be more involved.
Some advice I would give my mentor as she works with a new student is to reply quick as possible. I understand that she may be busy because I am as well. Sometimes some students need a quick response to be able to proceed with what they are doing.
Some advice I want to give is sharing more personal experiences with some of the things we are in to understand how things will go or some ways to improve.
If I had any advice it would be to get to know the student more and also don't overload with information. Slowly work into all the advice. Lastly, reply within the day of the student messaging you.
An advice I would give my mentor as he or she works with a new student is to check on that student message them as well and see what they´re doing and if they need help, don´t just wait for them to message you first. Because we wanna be checked up on once in awhile as well.
I would say that all her information is usefula nd to continue to share it as much as possible.
Advice I would give to my mentor would be to continue to stay in touch and give a heads up if something important came up. Just so that the other student knows when you can respond and when you cannot.

Would you be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future?
6 - No
13 - Yes

Please describe why or why not.
I feel like I would rather have a mentor I can see at school or in personal meetings than email back and forth because sometimes I dont have time to get back to them.
I think having a person there to support you and hold you up as well as answer your questions and guide you in the right direction is very important. The extra support is always good.
I would like to get more help on my success in the future because I am a perfectionist and want to see the best of me in life.
I would because it was very helpful in futhering my experience in science.
It was really beneficially for me and I felt like I was being supported in everything that I did.
The reason why I would not want mentoring support from professionals is because for me I would just like to figure things or do things without the help that is needed.

Receiving mentoring support helped me understand my career and the things I need to do to accomplish my goals.
Yes, I would be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future because this was a wonderful experience. I was able to communicate with someone that has had experience in the career that I was interested in and having their advice and knowledge really helped me. This would be beneficial for any profession.
It is fun connecting to someone that lives somewhere else.
This program gave me a lot of valuable information about how to be successful. I learned how to contact professionals and how to complete good quality research. This program would help me be very successful in other areas.
I wouldn't like as much questions being mandatory but instead freedom questions we can ask ourselves.
I would love to receive mentoring support from professionals in the future because I would like to have someone to guide me on what to do. They can tell me their experience and I would be able to rely on that.
I would be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future because they change the way to view certain things, also they have a lot more experience with more things and they can give us tips on how to do things well.
This was a lot of extra work and I feel like it was constantly being repeated and nothing new was discussed.
Having that support of a mentor helping you on projects and assignments is a great thing. If were not okay asking our teachers for help than we can ask for a mentor´s advice and that is why I would be interested in receiving a mentor´s support from professionals in the future.
They offer great help and good knowledge and information
I would be interesting in receiving support from professionals in the future, because I want to be able to become successful in whatever classes I am taking. Even if I understand it or not, I would like some help just to help clarify my thinking.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
The most difficult part was having time to email back and forth when I was busy
The most difficult part had to be the fact that we live in different countries and the rules of education and such are different. It was more work on her end to research how the United States does things compared to Canada.
The most difficult time about this was the responding. We didn't really respond as much as I would like.
The most difficult part of working with my mentor was keeping up contact.
The most difficult thing for me was that sometimes I felt like he was overloading me or pushing me a little too hard. I now realize that it was necessary because without his persistence, I wouldn't have grown.
The most difficult part of this project is that it was sometimes hard to show what your mentor needed to see or sometimes the mentors would be busy so you wouldn't be able to message them.

Remembering to email my mentor back
The most difficult parts of working on this project with my mentor were staying caught up and knowing what to do next, because my mentor only emailed me twice and a backup mentor emailed me once. I didn't have the right amount of information to complete the assignments well.
I hate how we cant connect to each other quickly
The most difficult part of working on this project with my mentor was being able to have quick responses and actually being able to focus on what I have been asked to do by my mentor, because I had other stuff to do for my classes.

The most difficult part was following the directions for each step and completing them on time.
The most difficult parts on working on this project with my mentor is having contacts with that person, when needed their advice´s they don´t reply when they are needed. Another most difficult part is trying to share stuff to your mentor when the steps mentioned it.
Finding in-depth information was the hardest to do when I had to research on my own.
The most difficult part of working on this project with my mentor was being able to contact with one another. This was a main issue as either of us would take a few weeks to answer back, so getting input from either side took awhile as well.

Did we miss something? If so, please share any additional comments you might have about your experience in the program.

I would've liked to talk to a medical examiner or someone in that area, as my mentor.

I, personally, feel that the time for the steps was unethical.
It would be a lot better if we were actaull
It would be a lot better if we were actaull
It would be a lot better if we were actually able to find a mentor that works in our ideal career area. Rather than finding someone that is different from our career expectations.
N/A.
Nothing.
Nope!
My mentor emailed me twice, and a backup mentor emailed me once. Other students were receiving several emails a week, and I only received three throughout the whole program. Therefore, I did not have the right resources to complete the assignments well, and I didn't gain as much from this program as I could have gained.
NO
