Getting to know my mentor and knowing it's ok to change majors if needed.
Getting feedback for the papers and projects that I was working on.
The best part was getting to work with somebody else than my teachers.
The best part from working with my Mentor is learning more about further education. I did not know what many things were taken into consideration in college and now I do.
I was able to have focused research on different careers I am interested in. The mentor allowed me to think more critically on the information we found, more specifically, how the information could be utilized to help me now or in the near future. My mentor was always pleasant to work with and was very professional.
I learned more about myself and how I want to pursue my career.
The best about working with my mentor was having the help to create a plan for my future that I know will help me succeed.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor would have been given the opportunity to learn step by step how to do things with someone who is learning along the way as well.
The best part about working with my mentor is being able to have another opinion when it came to my work. I know that I could ask my mentor for help with anything, and I would get the feedback I needed.
The best part was I got to see all my options, especially the ones I did not think of before this process. My mentor definitely helped with that.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was that now I have a plan for my future which includes what college I what career I want to pursue to what universities I want to attend.
The best part about working on this project with my mentor is getting to know what experiences they have in their career and it was nice that she shared her experiences with me, it was nice working with my mentor in general.
the best part of working with my mentor was how she was always willing to help
The best part of working on this project was just being able to talk with my mentor and receive advice for my education and future. She responded quickly with detailed information that was really beneficial to me.
The best part of working with a mentor, was the insight that she added not to the assignment but to the attitude one needs to have to succeed, and to succeed happily. For example, I learned how that rewards are needed, and it is helpful to celebrate after every accomplish no matter how large or small. That could range from a walk to the park, or a few minutes to just rest, all the way to a celebration.
The best part would be getting help on expanding my plan for the future career wise, and learning about advances in the medical field, new tools to help with surgery, etc.
The best part of working with my mentor is that she gave me some very useful advice that helped me out a lot.
having guidance when I'm confused

Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
chemistry,Hbs, and Algebra 2
I don't really think I need help from a mentor in other areas.
A academic area that i would like to revive help in is science.
N/A
It might be nice to have a mentor while applying to colleges to help with that process.
I'd like help in math and science.
There are currently no other areas that I can think of that I would like to work with a mentor.
I would love to have a mentor in AP world history.
I feel like having a mentor for English would be nice, to be able to have an extra set of eyes looking at your paper making sure it is to the best quality possible.
I think that math would be a great academic area to receive help from a mentor.
An academic area where I would like to receive help from a mentor would be in english. I believe that having someone to read and give you feedback on your writing skills is a big help. Writing is a big part of anyone's career.
Most likely Chemistry, since this year I have been having trouble in that class the most.
i would not like to have a mentor i feel like most other classes are pretty easy to plan a career in any of those feilds
I would like to receive help in the reading area from a mentor because I feel like that area doesn't get acknowledged as much as writing, and reading is just as important.
I would love to have a mentor in history. A professional in that field would be amazing for it allows for an accurate and interesting insight into events, that would otherwise go untold. Furthermore, with having a mentor in the field it would not only reinforce the material but it would be accurate and truthful information.
I'd like to receive information about the type of classes colleges have that have to do with the medical field.
As an alternative, I was thinking of maybe culinary or business.
Math
I don't really have any academic areas that I would want to receive help on. But, I think that there is always more to learn about future education plans.
What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
nothing, amazing mentor!
I would give the advice of working with them and maybe choosing a student that was more in their criteria of expertise.
Sometimes my mentor would take a while to reply back to me but it was fast enough.
My mentor has done a perfect job in responding to me messages. He pay attention to every detail of my message and always gives me something to think about, or something to work on. His feedback and support is wonderful.
Be patient while waiting for responses, high school students, especially athletes, have busy schedules and find it difficult to do all the steps in the designated time.
Make sure to ask about student's classwork, so you can help them in class as well.
My advice would be to help new students realize how much potential they have and how having a plan for your future can make you feel more confident in yourself.
Stay comfortable and make sure the student stays confident!
The advice I would give my mentor is to use more detail when they are helping a student with a project.
Just keep doing what she was doing. She was a really great mentor!
My advice for my mentor would be to continue doing what he is doing. He was a lot of help and I do not think that he needs to change anything that he has done.
I don't have any advice for my mentor. But I guess one would, be replying to the student soon, but I understand that you get busy in life that it takes a while to reply back but maybe the other student wouldn't understand that.
she did amazing and i was the one who did not do well with this
I don't necessarily have that much advice for my mentor because she was pretty much perfect to talk to and would give thorough thoughts. I would just say to keep doing what you do.
My mentor was absultely fabulous she knew that there was a difference between education and life. She mentored me on my attitude while helping me with the assignment. The only advice I would give her, would be to send messages twice a week, and not so long. While I personally love getting long letters I know that it can be sometimes hard to pick out the information from one long letter.
It would be to give them links so they can research different kinds of new stuff happening in the medical field. Also have them look up and answer questions they have not thought of.
To give them the same advice they provided me and to continue to understand if they have a busy life.
None!
I thought that my mentor did a great job with working with me. There isn't much advice that I would give for working with future students. The only advice I can think of would be to be really specific when giving information, but I thought my mentor did really well with that.

Would you be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future?
1 - No
18 - Yes
Please describe why or why not.
It helped me a lot, and it was keeping me more focus on school work.
Because my mentor had no experience with what I needed a mentor for.
Yes I would like to do the mentored pathways in the feature because It helped me learn about what i want to do in my future.
I certainly will, because I will need guidance to many problems that come across my education and mentors know what top quality work looks like. They will help me with my school work and my professionalism.
I believe there could always be a benefit to having a mentor to guide you outside your normal circle.
I think it is beneficial to me and it helps me plan for my future.
Working with a mentor has allowed me to have a better understanding towards the future and how to achieve my goals. Therefore, I would like to work with a mentor in the future.
I loved being able to have a mentor that I could talk to and work with on projects for the last couple of months. I believe my work was better quality and I got a lot of good grades in the projects that I worked on with my mentor.
Yes, because I feel like they would have a great insight of certain careers and jobs. Also, you would get beneficial advice on how to survive your job.
I would be interested in receiving a mentor in the future to help guide me through college.
They are a great help and they work with you to get to where you want to go in your life. Mentors are like role models.
I would like it in the future when i am closer to an auctuall career
Mentoring support is nice to have because I get an extra branch of advice to look to, and I think advice from a professional is the best advice to receive.
I believe what made this experience so great, was that my mentor helped improve my attitude, helped in giving me solutions to better my outlook and lower my stress. My mentor truthfully didn't know too much about the medical field because she was an editor but she taught me more on a personal level than I would have imagined.
Yes I would because they have helped me go further into my career plans. And If I keep having a mentor they will be a great help having another person help me with ideas and research.
Yes, because I feel that it helped me out a lot because in the beginning, I didn't know anything.
very helpful
I would always like to learn more about what I am accomplishing and planning to accomplish in life. So, I think that advice is not a bad thing and will ultimately help me in the future.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
I'm very busy outside of school and emailing my mentor was kind of hard but still manageable
My mentor would sometimes only send one sentence replies.
The most difficult part with working with my mentor was getting the things that needed to be done at the right times.
I didn't really think any parts were difficult of the project. I was interested in every step of the project and we had a smooth communication.
I had a hard time finding the time to do all the research and long responses with my schedule.
I think that the most difficult part of this was keeping up with emailing my mentor twice a week.
I think the most difficult was trying to find the time to complete the steps in time with quality research.
Having to constantly send progress, even if not a lot has been done, along with deadlines.
I believe the most difficult part was that I didn't always get the feedback I wanted. Sometimes I wish that my mentor would go into more detail while helping with projects.
Making sure that you complete all the requirements of each step on time.
I think the most difficult parts of working with a mentor would be if you need a quick response to a question you have, you need to wait until your mentor checks their email. There most likely is not a response within that same day.
The fact that we were way behind, and it was difficult hustling around making sure to get to where we need. We fell behind, not because of our teacher's fault but the fact of our school days.
the most difficult part for me was actually doing the work
The most difficult parts of working on this project was multitasking between school work, sports, and this. I had to juggle what I needed to do and still have good time management with deadlines.
The most difficult part about working with a mentor is the time limit. Some weeks are extremely busy and to add another work load is sometimes hard. Other than that, most of it was pretty self explanatory and independent research based. Furthermore, I had extreme difficulty on choosing a career choice, and am still unsure because I don't know what may lay ahead in the future.
The most difficult part was sometimes communicating with my mentor sometimes. This is because sometimes the links wouldn't show up and i couldn't click on them a few times.
Time-management. With to many things going on outside of school, it was hard to e-mail my mentor back at times.
opening up and knowing what questions to ask
The most difficult part for me was keeping up with emails because of my personal schedule. But, the program itself is pretty good.
Did we miss something? If so, please share any additional comments you might have about your experience in the program.
Nothing missed.
I though it was great!
I loved this experience, and loved having a mentor that not only cared about my academics but as well as my outside life.
I would like to have had a mentor from the beginning of the school year to the end of the school year instead of the short amount of time we had.

no i think this is a good program
I just want to say that my mentor again, made this process extremely enjoyable.
I can't think of anything that you might have miss. Overall this experience was pretty good.
