My mentor could help with most everything.
Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
I would like to receive help from science.
I would like to receive help in Social Studies.
I would like to have a mentor in social studies for projects.
One area I would like to receive help is social studies. In social studies I have s hard time because the work is difficult and sometimes I don't get enough time.
Social studies would be nice to have a mentor help me.
I would like to receive help in social studies possibly.
I think he could help me with stem because he is really good at that sort of thing.
Finding experts.
I think that it would be helpful to have help with any big projects in any classes.
One thing would be a direct source from the information is being sent.
Maybe in science again.
Some areas that I need help is probably is more advice with presenting. Carol has given me so much feedback through this whole project, and facts on my project. She has been so much helps to me. But if we had more time, I would like more tips about presenting because I get really nervous.
Maybe social studies
I think Social Studies would be a fun subject to have a mentor in because we can do topics about the world around us.
I would like to receive help in Social Studies.
I would like to get more feedback from my mentor but it wasn't a huge issue.
I had help in science.
I would like to have a mentor is social studies as well.
I think im good
Social studies.
None
I would really like getting help from a mentor in maybe writing skills because I really enjoy writing and I think a mentor could help me out a lot.
Any academic help I would like from a mentor is probably social studies because it can be hard to research history.
Just give me more feedback
Just give me more feedback
I would love to do a project about writing.
I would've liked to hear more from my mentor but otherwise she was a great mentor.
It could help in Social Studies where we do more essays and projects.
I would like it if my mentor had given me more links to websites so I could research more.
It would be cool to have mentors in language arts, to do things such as editing or reviewing work or writing.
I really like having a mentor in science. Science is not my favorite subject but the more fun projects I have to do and the more fun people I work with I get to like something more.
Social studies is kind of hard so maybe for that.
What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
I would tell them to pick their student based on the info and stuff that you and them can relate to.
I would tell them to maybe be a little more open about their lives so it is easier for them to connect and bond with each other throughout this project.
He should give websites everyone and a while
One piece of advice I would give is what happened to me was my mentor left iand I didn't recieve messages from two to three weeks so maybe make sure the mentor can stay with the student.
Nothing, my mentor did exactly what she was supposed to to. We even talked about totally unrelated topics it was nice to just have a conversation with someone outside of the classroom.
They did perfectly. I have nothing to say.
I would say that he should be a little clearer in his emails.
Push them to do more.
I would tell my mentor to keep doing what he is doing.
That try and break down as much as possible the problem the student is needing.
Nothing, she did a great job.
I think my mentor is incredible as a mentor, each email she sends is very helpful to me. I wouldn't give her any advic because she doing an amazing job.
I don't know because Shellie was an awesome mentor that helped me with every need.
Really criticize instead of gently giving me a few pointers, although this does depend on the student.
Just keep doing what you are doing! Make sure you know exactly what you student wants.
Advice I would give to my mentor was to stay on topic with the project. For example, if someone is doing a project on floods, please don't send them links to websites focusing on volcanoes.
She needs to give a little more variety of Imformation.
Next time try to help find more experts.
Id say she did quite well
Be friendly and be sure to give good feedback on anything.
Nothing
Even though I did the same thing, maybe Bijith could try answering sooner and not take a long time.
Advice I would give my mentor is he just needs to give advice the same way he gave advice to me, to be nice and helpful and make it simple to understand.
Email back within a day or less
Email back within a day or less
She was kind of pushy so I wish she was a little more relaxed.
I would say that maybe sending more emails because I remember my mentor did send me and email for about a month or more.
I don't have much advice, she was always there for me when I needed the help.
Make sure to be a mentor, but also a friend. Make connections with your student, give them details about your life and such.
Get to know your student and find things in common with them, so you don't feel like just another teacher. Communicate with them in a friendly, welcoming way.
My mentor did a really great job. I would like to remind him to always be patient, but also keep the kid on track don't let them get away with laziness. That is just the advice I have for a mentor, my mentor did a really good job of that.
I say just do exactly what she did for me.

4 - No
28 - Yes

Mentors can help us a lot and it is fun working with them because they are a big help, but we still do fine and have fun.

Yes because it was a lot easier.
Yes because I helps us understand more things in subjects such as science, reading and writing, and math.
At first it was a little awkward. But as time went on it became more natural so yes I would like to have another experience like this.

Yes, because it gives you a second perspective of your work.
Although this was fun it was a bit distracting.

Yes because I thought it was really cool to work with someone who has gone through this before.
I would love to receive mentoring support from professionals in the future because this experience gave me noticeable differences in the quality of my work, and that quality was much better than some of the projects I've done individually.
In my opinion, it was a little boring at times. I love the idea though!
I would be very open to it because these people are very professional. Rreceiving good feedback from someone who knows so much about the topic will put me on a higher scale than others.

Mentors can make your project 5 billion times better
Yes because I think that mentoring support from professionals can really help out someone and help them improve in that area or subject.
I would like further mentoring to help me get further in my academic success.
Because they give me feedback about what I should and should not change.
Because they give me feedback about what I should and should not change.
I just don't think I want to go into a profession that has to do with STEM.
I would because they helped me a lot with my projects.
They are very helpful and kind, and helped proofread my work.
The reason why I would like to receive more mentoring is because then I will get more critique and a different view of my project than just one perspective.
It's nice to have someone to help you along with your project when teachers don't have time for everyone.
I really enjoyed it. Getting help and getting to create a fun project that helps others is great.
It really helps if I am stuck.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
Sending pictures was hard at first, but then I got the hang of it.
The most difficult part was describing what I needed help with.
It was hard when we would have to email them 2 times a week.
The most difficult part was doing things I haven't done before such as making a website.
The most difficult part was when me and my partner had to switch topics, but my mentor made everything as easy as possible.
The most difficult part was remembering to tell my mentor my Progress when the project was easy.
He wasn't specific at some points in his emails.
Putting it all together.
The most difficult part was presenting when you are working by yourself
It probably would've have been the way we communicate with the mentors because sometimes once there probably was a problem with the sending.
Figuring out what to send.
The most difficult is probably making sure the emails I send her is professional and makes sense.
Not getting the information within a week sometimes.
The most difficult part of working with a mentor was the fact that she wasn't that experienced in my project area.
The only difficult thing was that for a while, the website wasn't working for me, I wasn't able to email my mentor.
Even though this project was very easy, the difficulties were reaching and finding experts who wrote back.
There were no difficult parts.
Not being able to now details about my mentor besides he is an electrical engineer.
Contacting them.
The waits between a sent message and a received message.
The emailing back with my busy schedule
The most difficult parts of working in this project with my mentor were probably that sometimes I could send a message in time but sometimes I couldn't.
The most difficult thing parts of working with a mentor is when it took long to respond.
Noah not emailing me back very often
Noah not emailing me back very often
I think writing the essay because sometimes it was hard to understand where we were going.
The most difficult part was when I had to screenshot every page of my website on the computer and send it to my mentor.
Sometimes I didn't need help from the mentor, but I still had to email them.
It was a little bit difficult communicating with my mentor twice a week.
The website could be difficult, and sometimes my mentor couldn't respond until several days later.
There was nothing hat hard sharing responsibilities with my team mates was hard sometimes. The only problem was when it took a long time for my mentor to respond but nobody's perfect.
I would say sending website and pictures back and forth.
