The best part of working on this project with my mentor was choosing a career and learning about the career with her.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was having someone more experienced provide advice on my career choices. Because of this I have a clearer understanding of exactly what my career goals are.
I thoroughly enjoyed researching the different colleges. There were so many excellent programs that the different schools offered.
The best part of this project was getting advice and insight from my telementor. I have a better understanding of what career I want to pursue, as well as, what colleges I want to attend.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor is that I got to figure everything out. I not only found out what I would like to do, but I found out how to get there. My mentor has helped me tremendously!
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was how comfortable I was talking to her. She was very warm and encouraging. I didn't feel like I had to impress her but I did want to show her my very best. We could openly talk about things going on in our life while easily staying on track with the project.
Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
The only area I need a mentor in is Computer Science, as with Byron, because that is the career/college field I am pursuing.

It would be nice to receive academic help from a telementor just in basic skills of how to cope with stress of high school and how to study for finals better.
This program has provided all the help in making detailed career goals that I need. I would like it if I could also receive help in preparing specifically in preparing for the academic rigors of college.
I would like more guidance in high school courses I should take.
Alison did a wonderful job as a mentor; however, if I had to choose something where she could have provided more help, I would say that she could have helped with helping to choose a college that she thinks would best fit what I want/need.
There are no other academic areas where I'd like to receive help from a mentor.
What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
I would tell Byron to do exactly he did with me, because he did everything so well.
I have no advice to give because I believe he worked perfectly well with me.

The best thing my mentor could do with a new student would be to do as she has done and make decisions based on what she knows about the student.
I would advise to get more involved in the student's life, it's easier to connect with the student if you know more about their life.
I would tell Alison to continue to stay involved and continue to make adjustments to the students work.
There is no advice I would give to my mentor! My mentor was splendid and I loved all the time I had with her.
I would suggest offering more help. Some of that might have been me not asking for much help.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
The most difficult part of working with the mentor was when I would lose Internet and contact with Byron.
The small difficulties of miscommunication.
The most difficult part of this project was probably the very beginning. Searching for a career to pursue was very hard for me.
The most difficult part was meeting the deadlines; however although this was more difficult than the rest of the project, it was not particularly difficult.
I think the most difficult part of this program was the poster because it was putting your whole experience on one slide.
The most difficult part was finding professionals specifically in my field to do research on.
The most difficult parts of working on this project was a certain step where we had to create a schedule! That was VERY stressful!!!
I wouldn't consider any part of working on this project with Kari difficult.

I just want to tell Byron what a good job he did on being my telementor. I would only add one thing for Byron, I found the colleges myself, which was fine, but the only thing he could have done different was to find three colleges that would best fit my needs for my career.
This program was great and I feel this experience will take me so much further in the future.
