Please describe the best part of working on this project with your mentor.
The best part for me about working on this project with my mentor was the fact that I was preparing for my future.
Having someone help me achieve the goals. I had a hard time thinking of my self in the future, thanks to my mentor that is no longer a problem.
Having someone help me achieve.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was getting to hear the different steps they had to take in high school and college to get into their career. Also hearing of how they didn't know what they wanted to be until their senior year in high school.
There were a lot of best parts working with my telementor but, it was when she helped me with my presentation. She asked some questions and even helped me with my research.
The best part of working with my mentor was getting her feedback on my essay and scholarship project because I liked learning from my mentor.
I think the best part was being able to ask questions and have them be answered instead of hear someone say I don't know.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was learning all the new things from her. She would enlighten me on things that are very important about video game design.
The best part of working on this project with your mentor is it really helps you see what you want to be in the future. With mentors who help you through the whole project to the final presentation, it really is the best part of the project.
The best part for me during this project with my mentor was getting advice by an adult that has experienced things that I would like to know of(college and high school).
The best part of this project was being able to contact a person that works in the job area I am interested. that would make it easier for him/her to explain things to me about my interestes.
The best part of working on this project with my mentor was being able to have such an amazing mentor. He was always ready to go out of his way to help me. I greatly enjoyed having him as a mentor.
The best part of working with my mentor was when Dale would send me links to pages that would show me more about my career.
The best part, specifically on this project with the mentor, is when i got an email from my mentor. The first time, was really exciting.
The best part that I worked with my mentor is when she was helping me ,by saying how to present so I wont be that nervous.
It really made me feel prepared for high school, and I'm no longer nervous about it.
I liked how no matter how confusing I got, they were always there to help me! From choosing out my high school classes, to looking at colleges.
The best part was learning about colleges, job opportunities, and just working with people who are out there in the real world.
The best part of working with my mentor was the information my mentor provided me with, and the knowledge I needed to preform well after I finish my education.

Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
I would like to receive help from a mentor in basically any area of academics that I need help in. If i need help in Math, then I would like to receive help for Math.
MATH. I always have trouble staying focused and I am not exceptional in
MATH
An academic area where I'd like to receive more help would be in communicating more.
I would like help with my mentor on all my classes. My mentor helped me with being organized and planning so with her to help me in my other classes it would help a lot.
I would like to have my mentor help me with STEM projects as well because my mentor and I could both learn a lot from it.
I think that the mentors should ask more questions, because a lot of the time its the student that is trying to ask questions but they are not sure what to say.
I would've liked for my mentor to explain more of what she had to do in college to get into this career
From a mentor, I wouldn't really ask for any other help in any other academic areas because the mentors pretty much cover everything if you ask them.
What would really help from a mentor would really be to have that mentor be in the area of interest(career)which that mentor is currently working in or has worked in.
my mentor was not really in my career area but he tried his best to find things to help me
I would like to receive help in the field of my career. My mentor was great but he had a jod that was not similar to my career choice so it was difficult to comunicate the kind of things to do for my exact career.
During this project my mentor helped me out on everything theres nothing else I could ask of him.
I would've loved to receive help about different programs or communities that offer help, in ares such as art.
Other academic areas that I would like to receive help from a mentor is like advice on the presentation.
I would like to receive extra help in extra curricular activities, if I ever need help.
Everything was great but they should talk more about how what you are doing right now, also depends on your education.
I like to receive help from a mentor in math, science, and social studies as well. Having help in all classes would be very useful if you don't understand something and you can't get a hold of your teacher.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
Only accept a student if that student is interested in the career that you are doing at the moment.
To give more websites for us to look at. I wanted more informan on my career field than she gave me.
to give more websites for us to look at.
I would give them advice on not trying to overwhelm students at the start of the project by wanting to know what career field they want to get into.
Help them with their research because sometimes its hard to find what we are looking for. Also talk more with them help them understand what they need for their project and career.
I would tell my mentor to research that students carrear path very throughly. This is important because then you can have interesting conversations with your mentor.
I would tell my mentor that he did a very good job and that the was a big help for my project.
I think that she could better address her likes and dislikes about the career area. Another thing she could do is tell more about her experience in the career.
The advice I give them is keep doing what you're doing
I would suggest to my mentor Kendra to keep doing what she is doing and giving plenty of advice.
I would not give my mentor any advice because my mentor was always helpful.
Some advice for a new student is to chose a student in your career field, and to be relaxed with them. Don't be all business with them. Try to at least talk somewha about how they are doing but you still want to focus on the project.
Well you my mentor helped me get to know him more and was very friendly with me and all he could improve on is to be funner talk about other things not just about you future take a couple seconds to get to know more about him or her.
I think you should talk about what can mainly help with their subject, and give them something to look at. Another thing is tell your student about your experience in highschool, and what did you do that helped.
I would tell them that they should help them more with the presentation like help them gather information and that they should help them with the presentation like if they don't know something they could ask there mentor and the mentor could help them with the research.
Make emails very easy to understand. When we are in class trying to respond sometimes I have a little trouble formatting my email to fit in with the questions.
They need to message back! But other than that, it was really good having her as a mentor!
Try to understand their situation, and learn more about them so you can help them easier.
Keep up the good work.

I would like to have a mentor in the future because then I can actually ask them about things that are happening at the moment and not in the future.
If I ever need help in the future a mentor is the best way to get some.

Yes because I believe the project helped me in figuring out steps to get to my goal.
Yes I would like help from mentors in the future. I would like help because it helped me a lot now with organization and planning it would help me a lot when i'm older.

I think it could help me get connected and possibly open up new opportunities, like get an internship and other things.
I have grown a lot in knowledge of my career due to my mentor. But if I can extend that knowledge I wish to do so with a mentor.
I would be interested in receiving mentoring support from professionals in the future because it would help me even farther into getting ahead of the competition. The mentoring was helpful already, and the more help, the better.
I would definitely want to have another mentor to help me and give me more advice on my career choice and how to become what I want to be as an adult.
I just dont want anymore help until I'm in college or have a job
The telementor program was very helpful for me and it helped me plan my high school experience so I would like to benifit from that again.
If my mentor was a huge help imagine if I could alk to a professional economist who could help me out even more.
Would lie to cause i think it can give me some view on how things will be for me, when i do get out in to the adult world, and what Opportunities am given

I would like receiving mentoring support because if it's helped me now,it can be way more useful later in life! I really like the program.
It would help me continue to learn about career fields and get connected with professionals. If I change my career choice, it would be useful to know many different professionals from separate fields.
I would like to further study my career choices, learn about different opportunities that are available to me, and understand what choices I need to make to get to where I want to be.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
The most difficult part was that I did not have a mentor that was actually in my field of interest.
Putting the right stuff in a message.I sometimes missed stuff.
Putting the right stuff in a message.
The most difficult part of working on this project with my mentor was sometimes not being able to understand what they were sometimes trying to say.
I had a hard time when we couldn't find something for my presentation but over all she helped me a lot.
The most difficult thing about this project was that m mentor was not actually in my carear field. She was still helpful but she did not have any personel experience.
Communication for me was the hardest part because I did not always have time to communicate in school.
One of the most difficult things was getting correct information from my mentor. Some times I didn't know what my mentor was explaining to me.
At first, the hard part was talking to them because you don't really know them. However after a while, I got comfortable talking to them. The other hard thing was finding the information of colleges on the computer for our final presentations because they hid that information pretty well, but not too well.
There were no difficulties.
It was hard to respond to my mentor on time.
The most difficult part of the project was having a mentor that didn't work in my field.
The most difficult were when I had to do the presentation and it was hard but worth it.
The difficult part was talking to my mentor a little bit, and how do i know what to ask them. Another was staying intact.
The most difficult part of this was that my mentor was not in the same field as me.
The most difficult part was being on a deadline, and waiting for a response.
It was harding having to explain everything to them without showing them.
Having to wait several days for them to respond, and being on a deadline.
Sharing documents and uploading them didn't always work.

Did we miss something? If so, please share any additional comments you might have about your experience in the program.
Give kids a mentor in the career that they want.
No nothing was missed.
No nothing was missed.
Also not being able to work with the same person of the career field of interest.
It would be helpful if the mentor was in the same career as the student.
No
I liked the program.
Other from what I just responded to I think the program was great
Nope. You did just fine.
Again, it would be more helpful if maby we choose a career that we want and then from that choice of career; our mentors can be chosen within our area of interest.
You did not miss anything.
No didn't miss anything, the program was spot on and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to go far in life.
This program was more than I could ask for there is nothing that my mentor missed he helped me understand everything I need to go into this career.
Although my mentor was helpful, to benifit your program i think you should chose a mentor that has more experience as to the students career. This will help alot.
NO
The one thing they missed was that most of the people in the program didn't have a mentor working in their chosen field.
You guys were great! But my mentor stopped messaging back!
One of the things I didn't like was the fact that hardly anyone had a mentor that was in their career choice field. It would be a lot better if you could get the majority of people a mentor who has the same job that you want.
