I think the best part of working with my mentor is when they point out something that you over looked and it improves your whole project.

Getting to know my mentor was among the best things that has happened this school year. We talked and got comfortable with working together early, so I got a lot of feedback later on and then I slacked off with my typing, which got the last few weeks to have small messages.

Please share any other academic areas where you'd like to receive help from a mentor.
Language Arts because I could get help revising and editing my writing and I bet that the mentors would have great book suggestions.
Nothing.
Math
Any area is better with a mentor
I would like to have more mentor help in classes like Social Studies and Language Arts. It would help a lot on projects and essays.
Some areas that I would have like'd to receive help from my mentor is in presenting our presentations.
I would like to have a mentor in language arts because it would help to have someone other than a student look over my work before I turn it in.
I don't think there are any other places I'd like help, I just think it's cool to have help in science.
I don't really need any help with any areas my mentor helped me with most of the academic areas.
Nowhere else.
I think a mentor for math would be just as helpful.
None, I think that my mentor Stacie did a wonderful job.
Social Studies in my opinion would be nice to have a mentor in in case of a big project that came up you would be able to talk to a mentor about it and they could help you out if you needed the help.
The best part was just having someone I could double check my work with so it was always good work.
I would like to wave a little help with my social studies class.
none
Another area I would like to have help in is keeping organized and to get stuff done on time and to have my name on all my stuff.
Nowhere else
My mentor helped me with making charts on the increase of push up and sits up the students achieved.
I think receiving help from a mentor would be helpful in any other academic areas, because you can always learn more, and there are always people to teach it to you.
I do not think my mentor should help me in any other way, it was really fun the way my mentor talked about things and it was fine that way.
I would like to receive help from a mentor in my Social Studies class because social studies isn't my strongpoint.
Social Studies/History because we could do great projects just like we did in science and a lot of students might need it while they could have so much fun doing it.
Another academic area where I'd like to receive help from a mentor is Language arts. This is because they could help with writing tips and giving good help for writing a paper and projects.
I would love to be able to communicate with mentors in all subjects and possibly electives and STEM classes.
I would like to be able to communicate with my mentor in all the subjects. She helped me a lot with science, and now I enjoy it more than I did before. I think that if I could have a mentor for all the subjects it would be easier and more fun than usual.
Math because I am not the best at math. It would be nice to get help.
I would like to receive help in science again because it was fun and there is so much to know and learn.
language art and social studies. So I can have a professional help me.
I don't have any other academic areas that I would like to receive help from a mentor.
Mentors would also be helpful in math, social studies, english, and just basically any subject someone might need help in.
I don't believe there are any other areas I need help with from a mentor.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
You have done a great job this year just remember that your feedback is very helpful and without it I probably wouldn't have gotten as far without it.
Some advice I would give her would be to really suport the kids and help them with anything they need. And I mean anything.
For Kyle, that he would not forget to mentor, when he does email he was great.
Be nice and overall do the same thing as you did with me (have commitment).
I would tell my mentor to keep doing what their doing to help other kids around the world. And then those other kids would get a project of theirs completed and have it be very good.
Some advice that I would give a mentor as they work with a new student is that it takes some people some time to start excepting criticism of their work.
I would advise them to help them a lot with whatever they need.
The only advice i have is email them as much as she did me, She always answered me very soon after I sent an email which was great.
I would say keep doing what your doing. She did very well. It was a wonderful experience.
always think about what they do and how it may affect the way they work.
Have them share personal things so you feel more connected to each other.
If my mentor worked with a new student I would tell her to give the student more websites because it is hard for me to find sources.
Just keep doing what ever that you do when you get a new student to mentor.
I would just keep doing wat you are doing. My mentor did a fantastic job with everything.
Some advice I would give him is to focus on giving more advice on the projects.
none needed. My mentor was a very good mentor to me and helped me with everything.
To message them twice a week and to not forget to press the send button.
I would tell her to do exactly what she did with me and to give as much as great info to the other students because it helped a bunch
I think that if you ask them more about things they like they will be more interested in the real project. Talk more about hobbies so they send more frequent emails to you.
My advice would be to share a lot of information and websites and highlight key points about that information. This way it is easier to interpret the information if you know what you are looking for.
Advice I would like to give is, sometimes she would be late to give feedback that we needed really bad, so if she could respond with feedback for experiments sooner.
I would say that he should be doing the same thing he did, just maybe reply a little sooner than usual.
Maybe to just try to be more on top of the emails, It was the whole job switching that messed her up.
I would tell her to keep doing what she was doing and if she had to change one thing, maybe give a little more information at the end but, I didn't really give her the info she needed to do that so she doesn't really need to change anything in my opinion.
One piece of advice that I would give to my mentor is to be a little bit more specific with your information. I could understand what you are trying to say but you could be a little bit more specific.
I wouldn't give her any advice because she was an amazing mentor to me and she would be great with everybody just as she was to me.
I would tell my mentor to try and be very specific. She was a little vague with what she told me and I was a little confused sometimes.
Be ready to adjust, some may be more pushy, some may be or just very different from the one you had before.
I would say to keep up what she is doing she has been so helpful and make sure to email her student if something doesn't work so they can fix it.
I would tell her to do the same she did with me. Help and support the student she is working with.
To provide only sites that are relevant to the project so the students do not mix up their information.
I would say that she was a perfect mentor and approaches her students well. She is good at finding links and I found her very helpful I don't think that she really needs to do anything differently.
Keep on encouraging students to give the best they have, and when they slack off, encourage them to stop slacking. You also did great getting to know me, and it made this program so much more enjoyable and easy.

Please describe the most difficult parts of working on this project with your mentor.
Some times I would forget to communicate but it was very helpful when they added email notifications.
The most difficult part would have to be the communicating because both the student and the mentor have other things to do and the emailing takes a little more time than other ways.
The most difficult part was that Kyle my mentor in the first part of the year stopped emailing me, so we had to switch mentors.
keeping in touch each week
The most difficult part was when I had to completely change my project because it was confusing for me and my mentor.
The most difficult part was trying to find a topic for our individual research.
The most difficult part of this program was having to communicate with mentors constantly.
The most difficult part of working with my mentor was communicating with her as much as possible, Im busy some days and sometimes I wouldn't get a chance to do that.
The difficult part was emailing sometimes I would forget. Or sometimes they would not give us time to email in class.
The most difficult part was probably e-mailing my mentor twice a day because we also had to work on our presentations, and our other science unit.
At first, my mentor could not look at my presentations on a google doc.
The most difficult part of working with my mentor was finding time when I could email her back.
The only hard part that was hard about the telementor project was remembering to send messages to our mentors as often as we need to.
Most difficult part was remembering to email my menor twice a week.
It was hard to have this the main part of the class. It took a lot of time of school causing me to have more homework.
Remembering to email mentor.
One difficult thing was how my mentor would forget to message me or would forget to press the send button
Communicating with my mentor because I was always busy with sports and never had time.
When we got into a class room of 24 and we had to get them all to participate in activities was very difficult.
The most difficult part of this project was always finding time to go on the telementor website and emailing my mentor, so it got a little overwhelming at times.
The most difficult parts was when she wouldn't reply right away or when I wouldn't give her specific things to give feedback about.
I think the most difficult part with my mentor was when he does not reply for a few days.
Finding sources was very difficult and my mentors made it easier.
It was just getting comfortable with talking with someone who I didn't know but it was extremely easy to get over it.
The most difficult part of this project was keeping up with emailing my mentors twice a week. Some weeks it was easy to keep up but some it was not.
The most difficult was scrolling down to try to see the first message because we had so many messages. :)
The most difficult part of working with my mentor was when she didn't email back. I didn't know what to write because I was sometimes still waiting for an answer about a previous question.
Most difficult parts was when i was sick or when she did not email me.
The most difficult parts were when my mentor couldn't view my presentation or didn't have any feedback for me. This was difficult because I couldn't get feedback when she couldn't view it but also when she didn't have feedback it was hard to know what needed to be fixed.
making and receiving feed back from my mentor.
The most difficult part of this project was messaging because there would be a delay in messaging and the student would not get important feedback they need.
The most difficult part was having to Email so much, I had a lot I had to do for the project and it was hard to find time to Email my mentor but I managed to find time.
The most difficult part was communicating due to the emails not always sending correctly/getting viewed by others and sometimes the emails would get delayed on being seen which caused me a large problem on my first presentation.

I think that a mobile app for telementor would help us all stick on top of emails and would help a lot.
I think that if there are multiple ways to contact our mentors, it would increase the amount of communication and maybe decrease the amount of stress it may put on some students.
I think the overall experiment was great because I got to work with someone that knew a lot.
No it was a really good program and I enjoyed it.
Nope
Is there anything you as a student for the mentor to have a better experience and come back again?: Yes, I really needed to email longer more precise emails, not take my anger out and show it to her. I also need to help her more and not kind of waste her time.
I think this experience was very enjoyable and fun to do.
I think maybe you could get some new mentors from different countries around the world. I think that would be fun for us to communicate with people that are all the way on the other side of the Earth.
I would really enjoy doing this again in the future. It was a great experience and I'm really looking forward to being able to do it again.
