The best part was having someone to give me ideas at first.
They helped me
I loved how much Jenn helped me and she has helped my project be competition ready. Without this mentor program this project would not have been as easy to format and make flow.
The best part of working on Tele mentor was being given the opportunity to work with professionals and to be given there helpful hints to make my paper the best it could be.
My mentor was very helpful and helped me a lot with my project and we enjoyed the same things so it was very easy to talk to each other
Getting feed back on my project
My mentor caught a lot of mistakes that we made that we did not see. He also helped us by telling us parts that didn't make sense and helped us understand what all we needed to have in our project.

I thought the best part of this program was getting to work with someone who was very familiar and experienced in the field of marketing. I also really liked and appreciated the feedback.

Due to the fact that my mentor was more or less nonexistent, there is no part of this that I truly feel was "the best."
The telementor would help us to work and it was fun learning what she liked to do.

Well I am currently using it in Child Development III to research careers that involve children and I think it is great to use it for career advice.

A mentor for English would definitely be helpful; teachers are so busy with all of their students that individual help is difficult to find without feeling like you're rushed.
I would like to receive help from a mentor in English class.
I think it would be helpful to have help from a mentor in a math class. It would be nice to be able to submit a homework assignment and ask questions and the mentors would be able to give help on homework questions.
I think it would be helpful to have a mentor for any subject in which you write extensive research papers such as this market research project.

What advice would you give your mentor as he or she works with a new student?
Make sure you are always replying to your student and giving relevant and helpful information, also if you will be gone for a period of time, let your student know.

To keep doing what she's doing and responding quickly and helping as much as she can. I am so grateful for all of her help.
Some advice I would give a mentor would be to make sure your not going to be traveling a lot so you will have time to give the help that a student has. Also, don't have so many back up mentors it makes it really hard on the other side of the computer and for student.

I would say nothing, overall great experience with Eric and he was always consistent.
Just try to respond quicker.
I would suggest she keep doing what she's doing! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her.
I would advise her to critique more of the material in the paper in comparison to the grammatical issues.
I would say that it is helpful when the mentor gives advise of exactly what the student is asking. Then after covering the student's questions, giving personal suggestions.
Keep doing what you're doing, the tips and links are very helpful.
Just be a little quicker with responding, that is all. All advice I received was extremely helpful and useful, however sometimes I would receive his response after the deadline in which I needed the information involved. I understand he has a job, career and life of his own, but a few times I needed help, I was forced to go elsewhere with my problems and hope for the best!
Advice that I would give my mentor is to try and respond quicker and more frequently.

try to respond back quicker to the student instead of waiting 2 or so days.
To explain the changes they made before telling the student to look at the edited paper.
Don't forget about us! Check back on them at least every now and again.

I had a very bad experience with my mentor. Everything started out fine, but when I got into the actual research parts of my project my mentor disappeared. I haven't heard from her since September.
They helped me
This was a huge help for this project so I would love to use this system for future projects in all subjects. I think more teachers should use telementor.
Because my telementor was busy a lot and I couldn't really have help on my project.

Yes because they help a lot with finding all of the mistakes with our project and had very good advice.

She hasn't responded since September.
She took forever to reply
Because my mentor was so good and efficient, nothing seemed difficult. she always got back with me in a timely manner and was great at helping me with whatever I needed. I know she did her best to help me make my project competition ready.
Having a lot of back up mentors was difficult.
Sometimes we didn't communicate a lot and went a week without talking

The most difficult part was probably waiting for the response and not knowing when they responded until checking the website.

Probably the most difficult thing was waiting for a response which wasn't even that long and was never an issue, just me being impatient, or me slacking on replying.
Communication by deadlines
Timing was definitely an issue on both parts, but that's bound to happen with an internet mentor!
Whenever I did not know how to phrase a section of my paper and my mentor also was unsure.
The most difficult part of working with a mentor was timing. Several times the mentor would email me, and I would not get back for a few days, or the other way around.
He was awesome.
The timing was sometimes difficult for communication with my mentor, as he would sometimes respond after my question was already answered or "due".
My mentor didn't respond as often as I would have liked.

Please make sure all of your mentors are going to be committed to the program. It becomes very stressful and unfair to a student when they are depending on the help from the mentor like everyone else in the class and they receive none.
