Things either the teacher or the Mentored Pathways Staff do to make a similar project more successful.
The communication from the teacher on a weekly basis helped me plan for the conversations with my student. Very beneficial!
Communicate more specifically about the specific student that the mentor is working with. There were times when the teacher's weekly e-mail indicated that the students were all finished a section, and that didn't seem to apply to my mentee at the time, so I was wondering if something was happening with him to keep him from completing. i learned from my mentee later that he was performing in an academic competition and wasn't able to spend the time on the project during that time period. It would be good to know that before the fact versus later.

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
This project was well designed with focused steps along the way to build the end product. The two outputs -- digital and powerpoint presentation were good summaries of all the information and work that had been completed over the course of the semester. One point that might have aided was understanding how they would be sharing this information eg. through a formal presentation.
The student did a great job with his project, and was positive and followed the guidance that I gave him. The final "poster" was still a work in progress; however, I am expecting that he completed it successfully based on his overall performance throughout the overall elements of the project.

Overall experience in the program.

Would you consider mentoring new students in the future?
0 - No
2 - Yes

Why or why not.
It gives me an opportunity to step away from my daily work and potentially provide some insight into the future world.
It is great to offer guidance and assistance to motivated students to support their future direction and success.

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
I always learn something new whether it is about a career or project as well as how things change over time.
It's great to see students planning for their future so that they have a clear understanding of what they need to do to be successful and are aware of what's available as support and references for them.

The most difficult aspect of participating.
Typically it is the level of involvement of the students. This semester that was not an issue.
Not knowing that much about the student sometimes makes it difficult to give them the most effective counsel. For example, are they doing well in school overall?, are they struggling with anything? Knowing more would help the mentor/mentee relationship be more well-rounded.
