I was mentoring 2 students from different schools on similar projects. This particular teacher's project plan was excellent! It would be beneficial to share this plan with other teachers so that all students going through a similar project can benefit.
I thought Mrs. Turek did a great job with this project as always. She is a dedicated, caring teacher who spends a lot of time with her students and wants to see them succeed. She is great at keeping mentors informed on the status of the project.
I generally like to put a name to a face. it helps me connect more with a person. I'm sure there are safety reasons that this has not been done before, but I feel like it is something that could be considered.
They did a great job communicating to me as a mentor and let me know what the group was working on or ways to communicate to the student

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
The outcome of Brooklynn's project was excellent! She is one of the more proactive, dedicated students that I have mentored through this overall program. She was willing to work hard and take on more than the teacher required. Additionally, the final project poster was excellent and will be a great tool for the students moving forward!
Mary did a great job on her final project. She utilized the information she learned throughout the project and synthesized it for her electronic poster. It looked very professional.
Project still in process at this time, but the student has shown tremendous skill and ability in research and communication.
I have not yet received a final project or information or questions on how to make the project successful.

Would you consider mentoring new students in the future?
0 - No
4 - Yes

Why or why not.
It's great to share learnings and experiences with students and to see that they are getting value from our interactions!
I enjoy mentoring students on career-related projects.
Mentoring was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
Brooklynn was very proactive and involved, and took advantage of all that this program had to offer! She was a pleasure to work with!
Working with Mary and Mrs, Turek
I thought it was great to connect with an eager student that showed genuine interest in so many challenging career opportunities. It definitely made me feel like I had a lot to contribute from my past experiences, knowledge, and mistakes that I could help a younger student avoid and learn from. It's hard to find students that demonstrate willingness to learn at this caliber.
I was nervous that we wouldn't be able to get any feedback from automotive design professionals. However, I was so surprised of the 3-4 quality responses that I got from those in the profession.

The most difficult aspect of participating.
The technology challenges - uploading documents
My schedule and Mary's did not always coordinate so I wasn't always able to respond as quickly as I would like on the days she sent messages.
The difficult part was helping the student with his survey questions. As much follow up and outside communication that I did, it was very difficult to get a response from professionals in the field.
I didn't get a lot of questions or information from the student. It was hard to have a dialog that was one sided.
