Things either the teacher or the Mentored Pathways Staff do to make a similar project more successful.
Can the student and mentor share a picture of themselves at the beginning of the project (if they want to)? It helps to know the face of the person you work with.
Overall I believe they did a great job.
n/a - the support was fine.
Anything you can do to keep them on track and on schedule would help. Also, they would benefit from a workshop on how to present data in graphical form, and how to understand data. Just because you CAN make a pie chart doesn't mean you SHOULD... I realize these kids are too young to understand statistics, but I think it's never to early to start learning the difference between "data" and "information", and to understand how to assess if something is significant.

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
While I did not see the final project, I saw parts of it along the way. The project was well thought out by the student. I provided suggestions throughout the process and the student and I discussed potential ways to handle some of the difficulties in collecting data.
Collin is a great young man. He interacted and responded in a timely manner. He shared his final project and asked for help when needed.
Student did not submit a final project yet.
I did not see the whole final project but the part I saw was of great quality. I had provided feedback on the design of the graphs and did not get to see if Kelly changed them.
I was continually impressed with Ashlyn's quality of her work and writing.
Lauren had her partner were fantastic! I was giving minor guidance and tips, but they were always on top of what had to be done. It was absolutely my pleasure to work with her and be of any little help that I could be.
Tyler was one of the best students I've had.
The quality of this project was very high. The students were very well prepared. I enjoyed working on this.

Would you consider mentoring new students in the future?
0 - No
11 - Yes

Why or why not.
Yes, in particular working with a student who was a highly motivated as mine this semester to engage me in the project. Probably the first time I had more conversations about the actual project in my experience with students thus far.
At times, I find this type of mentoring to be very frustrating. The biggest challenge is understanding if anything I send to the student is helping as feedback from my messages is not usually answered but having a son who is now a college graduate, I understand that.
Yes, but I will limit myself to one. Having more than several can take away time from the other one who is wanting the help.
Always a pleasure to help and I learn something myself each time.
It is an opportunity for me to be in a position to help or influence the kids. Thanks David for giving the opportunity!

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
This project was a bit out of my expertise area. However, I felt that some of my experiences were still relevant to the project and I could provide suggestions along the way. The student was very engaged in the project so that really helped me be a part of it.
I do not find participating to be very rewarding.
The most rewarding is sharing and working together as a team.
Influencing a young mind by showing eagerness and willingness to assist with projects.
Seeing how the guidance and feedback I provided helped Kelly improve her project.
Working with the students and getting to know them and support them during their projects.
Getting a message from Lauren ! - any message.
Feeling like the student really took the feedback and was able to make informed decisions based on multiple perspectives

The most difficult aspect of participating.
The student had a difficult time getting a business to commit to the project so there was a long delay in getting the work started. There was nothing that I could do to help other than encourage the student to talk to their teacher.
Not enough time
Finding the time to send consistent communication with busy work days.
I am not very familiar with marketing and this type of business research but with the guidance of the teacher I was able to understand what was expected of the student during the project.
n/a
Having to research what they are doing & not being an expert in their particular aspect of a project.
