Communication techniques can be reviewed to look for improvement. But it's not an indication of this project but more a standard approach to project management
The support from Lynn Chrismer and David Neils is always outstanding. No recommendations for improvement needed. I was extremely grateful to David for stepping in for one week to help me as I was unavailable. The quality of his message to the student was a nice guide for me on the level of detail that I can be providing to future students. This was a great way to model the mentor's role. I think it was a win-win that David helped me :-)
I like the new website...much better!
I felt that the level of support was good for this project.

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
I liked Devon's desire to work with me and to try to incorporate my feedback into updated drafts of his final project. Devon showed a real willingness to take constructive critiques and he showed real leadership skills. These served him well this semester and will continue to serve him in the future.
I have to remind myself that all students are different and the quality of their work is different from the bar I have set in my own mind. The student I mentored this semester has a lot to learn in order to maintain good grades on written reports as she moves into college. I anticipate that is a skill that she will gain as she progresses to higher education. Yet, in comparison to previous student's that I've mentored, she did write fairly consistent to the quality that I've seen before. I do tend to provide a lot of feedback on their writing styles in hopes to prepare them for college.
Would have loved to see the final project, but I think the time constraint was too tight for the students to get the projects sent to the mentors.
I put No above because I think I saw most of the project at each stage, but I never saw the whole thing put together.
I really enjoyed the process and the experience of working as a mentor on this project. I felt like the student I worked with really enjoyed the project and improved in many areas during the course of the term.
I know it is hard to achieve at times, but I always would like to see the final project. Maybe a clear detailed schedule of the last week with a notice of the last date for student's access?

Would you consider mentoring new students in the future?

Why or why not.
Many years connected with Telementor and a desire to stay connected and involved.
I love supporting Telementoring. It's a cause near and dear to my heart. I wish my own to children had this opportunity. My youngest graduates from high school in June.
I know I can make a difference to the students. Each semester is different based on the project, the "match", etc, so it's always interesting and challenging.
Absolutely! I learn something new from each student I mentor!
I would have really enjoyed having a similar mentor program when i was in high school due to the value of what a student can learn about the "real world" from a professional mentor.

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
Seeing Devon's skills grow and just working with a student who wanted to succeed.
I really like the getting to know you phase and building trust with the student before we get into the details of the project. The more open I can be with the student from the first message I feel the more receptive they will be to my feedback as they get into the project.
Sharing ideas and getting to know the students.
I like to see how the work progresses...and the deeper level of thinking that the student exhibited near the end.
Seeing the student ask for assistance and take recommendations and suggestions and incorporate them into their project.

The most difficult aspect of participating.
Nothing really
My student this semester didn't seem to be open to applying feedback and I didn't always see the changes she made. But, the final grade is up to her and depends on whether or not she applies my feedback.
When the student is not very communicative. It makes it more difficult to get to know the student and to understand how much I am really helping.
Timing! Sometimes getting the information early enough in the week/day in order to be able to help research some of the aspects of the project.
I didn't really encounter any real issues this time, the communications from my student were timely and i think we worked well together.
