Things either the teacher or the Mentored Pathways Staff do to make a similar project more successful.
This was quite successful in my opinion and the teacher and staff did a great job communicating expectations.
I'm not sure how often the teacher communicated to the students about using their mentor as a resource. I felt that at some times it was difficult to get engagement from my student - especially at the end with the final paper. Perhaps a reminder to use their mentor more would help?
Maybe more check ins with mentors would be beneficial for students to hone in on professional correspondences/networking
Set out a schedule for windows of communication for when the student is required to communicate for the run of the project. As exact dates are not realistic, a target window, maybe a two week window would be great so that the expectation is set that a minimum number of progress reports are given.
Check that students are regularly uploading files that show the progress being made, even if it is very little progress. I would like to see how the student implemented my suggestions.

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
I thought Maddi did an amazing job pulling everything together and presenting it clearly.
The student did not share the final project, although he said he would and I asked him to and offered my assistance multiple times.
Annalee has wonderful energy about her business and it showed. Whenever I read/reviewed her work it was clear she did her research and spoke to a few sources. I was very impressed with the quality of her work. I only edited some of her writing for more emphasis or clarity. I believe no matter what Anna does in her career, she will excel.
I think Matt did a wonderful job, and had a well thought out business plan that was attainable in the current economic conditions.
I have not seen it.
I think the final project was a great way for the students to show what they learned and to be proactive. My student did a good job on the project and used suggestions well.

Would you consider mentoring new students in the future?
0 - No
6 - Yes

Why or why not.
Absolutely! I learn as much if not more than the students! This is a terrific program and I'm so glad that someone shared it with me.
I learn as much or more than the students when I mentor.
I enjoy helping students and seeing the progress that they have made.

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
Seeing the constant improvement in communication and writing skills.
I do think that I helped Christian expand his horizons and think bigger picture than when he started.
When Anna liked my edits and how happy the project made her.
Student finding more ways to improve there project that they didn't realize before.
Seeing a student develop an idea towards a business plan.
The most rewarding aspect is the response from the student when I have been able to help her research something or learn something new. The student's success and sense of accomplishment is contagious.

The most difficult aspect of participating.
TIME!! Sometimes our timing would be off slightly, but I don't think it interfered in most instances.
The communication at times was difficult.
Conveying my thoughts via email. 1 time I was lucky that a Powerpoint slide could "say" what I meant and she understood.
Maybe when the student was in a time crunch and i had to review his reports faster than i would have liked to.
infrequent communication
When I don't get anything from the student in terms of work completed. Sometimes they say, "I am working on X." Go ahead and show me what you have. Don't wait until it is "ready." I can help influence the direction early on.
