Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
I have to credit the student's teacher for really working with them on the development of the final plan. While I worked with the student along the way, it wasn't clear what the end product would be. I was impressed with how the student got through the thought process and ended up with not only short term goals but long term. Would have been helpful along the way to have further understanding of where the student was in the steps throughout the project.
Andrew has made great progress in the past several months. I can tell from the communications (from both Andrew and his teacher) that he is very proud of this. I would encourage Andrew to continue researching continuing education. I wish him the best as he prepares to work with his father on an oil rig this summer.

Why or why not.
Helped me think further about my own communications. I was also able to see the benefit to the student in helping with their thought process. It was definitely a win-win.
I enjoy mentoring others. This is a great program to support, and it does not take significant time from my day job.
The most rewarding aspect of participating.
Seeing the development in the student. She went from very little thought around her future to having a defined plan. If she sticks with her goals, I think this program will have really worked to help develop a young mind!
I was very satisfied to hear of Andrew's improvement this semester.
The most difficult aspect of participating.
At times there was radio silence. Some of this had to do with some health issues my student was facing, as well as some environmental issues like weather, school testing. The teacher tried to keep me up to date. At times, I really had to work to draw information from the student.
