Create a mobile app to communicate via Social media so student can communicate with mentor and don't have to wait for next time either one checking email or logging into telementor website.
I understand the issues of confidentiality, but it would REALLY help if the mentor were given an advance briefing on any learning issues, communication style hints, and motivational issues the student has. It's easy to get discouraged or to lose some degree of patience with dealing with some students, and having to feel one's way through the familiarization process -- largely trial and error -- exacerbates this and wastes some learning opportunities on both sides. Zac's communications about Joshua's recent extraordinary successes were a real wake-up call to me, and will definitely affect how I work with difficult students in the future. But a little forewarning would go a long way...
Provide context/outline on what the students are taught during the first day - orientation/kickoff/guidelines. I can imagine first day would be what the program is/projects are, how to work within the system/other guidelines. Is this for all the Telementor programs. I'd like to add other things to the list if it's not already there that I had requested before, for example - use of proper writing/grammar/spelling - students need to really apply what they have learned in previous academic classes.
Please alert us from the start what general levels of secondary education are likely appropriate for the students we are mentoring - it would have helped to know that even more upfront.
Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
Nolan's project showed a good closure on the project, and made me feel better about what he'd been doing.
Excellent report and follow-through. Fayth definitely has good ambition and drive and focused on her design.
I think JD's final project showed a very good grasp on career path and the education needed. It also showed a lot of passion!
Overall experience in the program.

The usual reasons. :-)
Yes - so long as I feel that I am making a positive difference for the students
The most rewarding aspect of participating.
When student listen to your suggestions
Ditto.
Actually making a professional connection (2 of them) in the Fashion industry based on my networking. I learned a lot about a day in the life of a fashion designer.
Seeing the student's understanding and commitment grow.
The most difficult aspect of participating.
when student is not very responsive
I was delighted to find someone to respond to Kendra's survey but that response was so late it did not really make it for her project timeline.
Ditto.
would have been great to have introduced Fayth in person to the fashion designers. But a conference call was the next best thing.
Finding professionals from afar in a field that does not rely as much on e-mail
