Things either the teacher or the Mentored Pathways Staff do to make a similar project more successful.
I want ti thank the teacher and the staff. In the past, I've asked for more mentor feedback, so icould know what, from the teacher's perspective, was effective. I was really pleased to receive more feedback this time. I find it so helpful! I would say that any time the students have a big writing project there should be ample time for revisions because revisions are, in my opinion, as important as the initial draft.

Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
The students worked really hard on this project, and the time they put in was obvious. I thought they did a great job of pulling details and quotes from their source material.

Why or why not.
I really enjoy my telementoring experiences. It is exciting to see how the students approach a difficult project and make it their own.

The most rewarding aspect of participating.
Being specifically requested as a replacement after serving as a substitute.
This was a challenging project, and it was wonderful to see how the students rose to the challenge. They had to figure out ways to take the material they had and fit it into the biography template. I loved that they were able to adapt by adding historical research to fill in details.

The most difficult aspect of participating.
Some inital confusion as to whom I was replacing for which student. But got worked out within the day, I think even before I finished writing to the wrong student. &8-{)
I always wish that the projects were longer and that there were more opportunities to interact with the students so that the message exchange can go smoothly. Sometimes I find it hard to get the students to share their thoughts and let me know how I can be most helpful.
