updates on what should be finished are useful as often students are at quiet or at a different point;
Ms. Wofford sent regular reminders that were very helpful.
Prep the students by emphasizing that they will be communicating with busy professionals. Careful writing and personal investment in the project will go a long way toward getting enthusiastic mentor support.
This project was very well thought out and yielded enough information for the student to know precisely what to do and what was expected from them.

A bit more of an orientation on this years project. I had mentored a student last year and the focus was on SWOT ... not pertinent this year, and having the DECA style guide earlier would be a great help.

There was a lot of communication in the beginning with the student but as the project was winding down the communication was less and less. I understand that ITP wants us to write to the student 2x/week but if I don't get a response from the student I am not sure of what else to send them. I guess it's a combination of all of us.
Feedback regarding the quality of the student's final project as well as suggestions for improvement.
Some more teaching on use of word functions to format projects, how to markup files in "review" mode, etc
I will be working with Taylor on her competition entry which I have not seen the final product of. However, the presentation she submitted for class was well thoughtout and included engagaging visuals as well as organized and thorough responses.
The project just seemed to peter out a bit. Some students were selected to go on to the next round, but mentors weren't informed if their own students were in or out until later. My student seemed very bright and capable (after we'd worked together for a while and I'd insisted on a bit more disciplined communication and contacted the teacher), but she didn't seem all that invested in the project even though she and her partner did put in significant time. Hard to be specific about my feeling.
Although I am not sure how the final project ended up, I am confident that Hannah did a great job as the work leading up to the final project was well organized and showed that she and her partner had done a lot of research.
High quality and well thought out.
Excellent use of graphs and diagrams which added to the presentation.
I think the student did a great job.
End product was good.
The final project was well-written and conscise.

I did not receive a final project. I was disappointed.
Overall project was great!
Morganne and her partner did a superb job in the analysis and the suggestions for improving the business through branding for the bricks and mortar moving company.
Charles was highly intelligent, motivated self starter who I could tell felt passionately about his research project and was a keen traveller and super communicator.
Excellent. My students final project was well organized and informative.
I was disappointed that I did not see the final report. I did see bits and pieces of the project but the final report would have been great.
Overall experience in the program.

Why or why not.
Taylor was a pleasure to work with. She met her guidelines promptly, shared her work with me and was very receptive to constructive advise.
It is a rewarding experience.
It is a rewarding experience.
If I can help with a project in line with my skill-sets.
I believe the Telementor program is a great program that really helps a lot of students. David and his team do an exceptional job.
Mentoring students provides an opportunity that I wish I had had during my own time in middle and high school. Many resources were unavilable to me for which I feel connection to a professional network would have been benficial. I try to make sure that doesn't happen in the future and feel that students see the benefits of this.
In addition to imparting my experience and knowledge to helping students, it also keeps my knowledge alert and bring back to work my experience as applicable.
This program provides positive exposure to the business world, that most students in the program would not other wise receive.
I think the students benefit from knowing there are people out there that are willing to help when you need advise. Reaching out to someone for help or advise is something that not everyone knows or feels is possible. But with this program it lets kids know they can reach out to get help with not only school work but personal issues as well. There is a lot of experience out there people will share if only asked.
The most rewarding aspect of participating.
I was always proud to hear from Taylor that her teacher enjoyed her work. It was fulfilling to know that I may have contributed in some way to her successs.
This project was different and helping Hannah research and provide feedback on her ideas was very rewarding.
Knowing that I'm helping and providing value to the student.
Assisting the student and providing value.
Being able to inform from experience and add perspective.
Being able to share professional experiences with those yet to enter the work environment.
Knowing that I was sharing my expertise with a student and helping him be successful.
Knowing that I'm helping someone
Seeing the progression of Brad's project skills as the semester moved along.
Knowing that I have helped someone understand better their subjects vs relating to a telementor.
Seeing the natural progression of the student during the project.
I love being a part of affecting the future of young people who may someday become the movers and shakers of tomorrow.
Just knowing I was able to help the students understand how to write a professional paper/presentation. Helping them with terminology and what information the teacher/review is looking for.
The most difficult aspect of participating.
During vacations it was sometimes difficult to remember to check in, but otherwise it was an easy process.

Finding ways to contribute as the student was very prepared and doing well with the project.
Maintaining a dialogue that mirrored the class timeline.
Maintaining a pertinent dialogue.
It was difficult to make any type of real connection with the student. All correspondence was purely project focused.

Not being quite sure of what the baseline should be in this type of project. Meaning, what does a good, "A" level project entail?
As always, you can misinterpret intentions or words via email w/o context of facial expression.
The most difficult aspect of the program is balancing my mentoring and my workload which soemtimes spills into homelife. Then, mentoring gets put on back burner after my primary job responsibilities. Especially during the hectic holiday season.
