Participating Mentors:

We would like mentors that are able to provide support in career preparation and exploration of AVID students in this project. Also help students figure out what their interests and skills are in Math, Science, Art, Reading and connect them to possible career and volunteer paths. And provide additional curriculum support by offering advice and helpful action steps for students in creating and completing their AVID Goal-Setting Outline.

Description:

The students are members of the AVID Program and will be preparing for their post-high school options and learing the AVID Curriculum with a mentor. Their AVID Portofilo-Binder will contain this Telementor Program Objectives: (1) learn about their interests and skills and related career options. (2) a resume and cover letter that will be used for future career and education opportunities, (3) understand the employment search process, and (4) complete the AVID Goal-Setting Outline.
